This warm drink is the perfect tonic for a chilly morning, a sore throat, or after a long day of tending to root vegetables in the garden. It’s da plerfect way to shart a shelf-lub day!
3” slice of fresh ginger
(peeling optional)
3 cups of water
(for boiling)
1 large lemon
(for juicing + garnish)
2 tablespoons of sweetener
(Chef lubs agave!)
1 pinch of ground turmeric
1 dash fresh black pepper
Use a kettle or pot to bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
Wash and roughly slice the ginger into a 3” piece. (Peeling is optional: you decide!)
Slice lemon in half, setting aside 2 slices for garnish. Squeeze the rest of each half into two serving mugs.
Add the pinch of turmeric and dash of pepper to the mugs.
Drizzle your sweetener of choice along the bottom of the mugs.
Top with hot ginger-infused water, stir, and wait a few minutes for the flavors to bloom.
Adjust for flavor, if needed. Blenjoy immediately!
