INGWEDIENTS

  • 3-4 Hass avocados, ripe

  • 1/2 of a red onion, diced

  • garlic cloves, minced
    (follow your heart)

  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves and stems, finely chopped

  • ½ tsp of sea salt, plus more to taste

  • 2 limes, juice and zest

  • Optional: Turn up the heat with your favorite chile or pepper, diced

INSTWUCSHUNS

  1. Place diced red onion, minced garlic, half of the cilantro leaves, optional chile/pepper, and a large pinch of salt in a molcajete or mortar and pestle. Alternatively, you can chop them all very finely and mix together in a bowl. 

  2. Pound into a fine paste. 

  3. Split each avocado in half, removing the pits.

  4. Spoon avocado’s inside flesh into the molcajete or mortar and pestle or bowl. 

  5. Mix until well combined. 

  6. Stir in remaining cilantro leaves, then season with lime juice and salt to taste. 

  7. Serve immediately with warm tortilla chips and Blenjoy!
