I jusht LUB chattin’ wif all my besties in da Fwend Club and Dear Cheffy is a way I can help YEWWW in da kitchen, gawden, or in life the besht Bly can! Dis month we awr focusing on Garden talk.

Blokay, wet’s get cwackin’
on dis monfth’s queshtshuns…

Q: Dear Cheffy, I want to grow a garden so badly but I just don’t seem to have a green thumb. Any advice for a newbie to growing in hopes of helping plants thrive?

A: Fank yew sho much for this question. Believe it or not, there are plenty of times I haf challenges in the gawden and am always learning! Plants are our fwends, and like any good fwenship, it takes time to learn what yew need, how to be a good fwend, and that is ever-evolving! The best way to start is with LUB, and gentle care. Spend a little time each day wif yowr pwants, they will tell you what they need. Bly also like to find out their blavorit type of music and play dat or sing to them when I am in the gawden. Bland west assured, a mewtiful fwendship will bloom!

Q: Dear Cheffy, I live in a tiny apartment and I don’t have space for a garden. Any advice when you still want to have some fresh veg but are low on space?

A: If there’s one thing Bly know, it’s tiny spaces! And yesh! Yew can absolutely still grow plants in small spaces. So many plants do well indoors, yew just haf to learn who needs full sun, half sun, and low sun to arrange them accordingly. Make sure to always haf a plate under your plants that drain to ensure no water gets on yowr floors! Dat’s nevow fun, Bly tell ya! Cwean up on aisle Livingwoom! Hehehe And a gweat way to have fwesh ingredients on hand is a window-sill herb gawden. Herbs do gweat in small spaces and grow as a team. Dat way, yew can jazz up any dish wif fwesh greens! Happy pwanting!

Q: Dear Cheffy, I have two plants who just don’t seem to get along. They’re planted next to each other and both seem to be struggling. Help please!

A: Blog my moogness, you know, in the garden, like in life, dese fings happen. All pwants have a vewy important role to play in the garden, and it sound like your two pwants just need to find their purpose! I LUB to consult a gardening book to see what exactwy both pwants need. But sometimes yew need to bwing in a professional. Dat’s why I call on my fwend bland local nursery owner Gerald to help da pwants talk it out. Gerald knows jusht what to say to two pwants not seeing eye to eye. Bland your local nursery can be a gweat resources tew! Bly also find that once we get to gabbin’, the plants often do find things in common. Good Wuck!

Q: Dear Cheffy, I’ve never grown plants before. Do you have any suggestions for beginners of foliage fwends that can be a bit forgiving?

A: Bloh, don’t yew worry about that! All pwants are sweethearts once yew get to know them! They’re all vewy kind bland blelcoming. Bland I haf to say dat they are vewy understanding if yew are new to da gawdening scene. One pwant in particuwar Bly would recommend ish my fwend, the Pathos Plant. They can gwow almost ANYWHERE! These pwants do great in water and soil. They are blamazing at moderating their own water supply, bland they listen to all types of music! Mappy Gawdening!
